First Irish Conference about the potential of Second Life for educators

The 3-D world virtual world Second Life has over four million registered accounts and many univeristies around the world (including Harvard, Stanford, Edinburgh, and MIT) are already active there.

This evening the first Irish conference for educators about Second Life will be held at 19.00 (7pm). The conference discussion will focus on the potential for education in Second Life. It will include an introduction to second life with video demonstrations. It will be co-hosted in audio by a DCU academic and Trinity College key speaker.


In order to attend, simply go to www.secondlife.com and download second life (free). It then only takes a minute to create your account/avatar. (All free) It is advisable to login a while before the event next Tues (before 7pm) to familiarise yourself with the world and 'teleport' to Trinity College Dublin.
