We need your feedback- and will give you copier credit and coffee for it!!!

UCD Library's Advanced Information Skills Group (AISG) is
organising a focus group to gather feedback from PhD students
who took part in our information skills sessions during the
2006/2007 academic year. These sessions were provided as part of the
Graduate Schools' Core Research Modules.

The focus group will be held in room 130 in the James Joyce
Library on Thursday 10th May from 14.30 - 15.30
Your feedback will help us to evaluate the effectiveness of our
sessions and to plan for next year.


All participants will receive €10 in photocopier credit as a
token of our appreciation. Tea/Coffee will be provided.

Level 2 Group Study Rooms

Group Study Rooms on Level 2 of the James Joyce Library (Room 233 & Rooms A/B) will be open for general study purposes in the pre-examination period from:

Monday 30th April to Monday 14th May 2007

Students will not be able to make any bookings for the three group study rooms during this period.

HIBERNIA:

HIBERNIA: Historic Ireland's Built Environment and Road Network Inventory Access, provides web-access to two earlier inventories: the Dublin Environmental Inventory and the Dublin Docklands Area Master Plan Inventory (both undertaken by the School of Architecture, Landscape and Civil Engineering, University College Dublin). The combined inventories include historical, geographical, and architectural information collected from 1993 to 1995 for 1,280 of Dublin’s buildings.

BioMed Central institutional membership renewed

The IReL deal with BMC has been renewed. This means that UCD researchers can continue to publish in any of the 170 Open Access journals published by BMC and the "author charges" will not fall to the individual to pay.
